1) Is Amnet technology only for brand new homes,
or for existing ones, too?

Both. Our technology is extremely flexible. If you have an older home, we can easily retrofit it with the systems you want. If you are building a new home, we can make sure our technology designs fit in perfectly with your architect's plans. Bringing us in at the very start of your construction or renovation process will result in the most seamless installation and integration of our technology. If you have any more questions about Amnet Home, please e-mail us!

2) Will this technology become outdated?

Technology is always changing and improving. Fortunately, your Amnet Home can change with it. For starters, we use only "best of breed" hardware and software products. As enhancements become available, we can replace hardware components or update your system software to bring you the latest features. In addition, we make sure your home is wired to let you take advantage of additional capabilities down the road. In short, your Amnet Home will remain state-of-the-art for years to come. 3) Can I order just the systems I want, a la carte?

Of course. An Amnet Home is all about giving you the conveniences you want. Maybe you're just looking to put in a home theater. Or gain greater control over your heating system to save on fuel or electric bills. Whatever your wish, we can help make it a reality. And if you later decide that you want to add additional systems, we can help with that, too. If you have any more questions about Amnet Home, please e-mail us!

4) How intrusive is the installation?
Will my walls be opened?

We pride ourselves on being next-to-invisible in your home. That means working around your schedule to minimize disruption. For example, we can plan to do the larger parts of your installation while you're away on vacation.   Depending on your Amnet design, it may be necessary to cut small holes in strategic places. When this is the case, we'll completely restore your walls to their prior condition. To ensure the highest level of satisfaction, we can use your preferred painting contractor or bring in our own. If you have any more questions about Amnet Home, please e-mail us!

5) Do I need any training?

Amnet Homes are designed to be extremely intuitive. To perform an action, you simply press a button on your easy-to-use, graphical touch-screen. Buttons are labeled in plain English and related actions are grouped together, just like they should be. While there's a good chance you won't need it, we'll give you a complete tutorial on how to operate your Amnet Home. After that, if you have questions, you can access our service center 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you have any more questions about Amnet Home, please e-mail us!

8) What happens during a power outage?

All critical system components are designed with battery backup, power conditioning and surge suppression, so your system will not be hurt by power outages, brownouts or flickers. If you're looking for absolutely no system interruption during a blackout, we recommend that a generator be installed for our system and other critical components of your home. If you have any more questions about Amnet Home, please e-mail us!

9) What happens if a part breaks? Is there a warranty?

We cover absolutely everything - from on-site service to replacement of a faulty product - for one year. After that, you can continue to get complete peace of mind through our Amnet Platinum Coverage warranty program. This plan covers every component and part, and any associated labor to repair or replace it.
For example, if your plasma or home theater projection TV fails after 2 years, we'd cover 100% of the repair or completely replace your screen, even though your warranty may have expired. Our Platinum plan also includes proactive remote monitoring of your entire system, and any service calls 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Without our warranty, your coverage will depend on the individual warranty of the manufacturer of each component (e.g. parts only or parts and labor). If you have any more questions about Amnet Home, please e-mail us!

10) Can I control systems remotely by computer
or cell phone?

Yes. With a Web-enabled computer, you'll have complete control over your entire system from a remote location. (The only difference - instead of touching buttons on a screen, you'll click on them with a mouse.) You'll also have a basic level of control for every system via your cell phone.  Each of these options requires a unique security pass-code to gain access. Audit logs are maintained to ensure access by only authorized individuals. If you have any more questions about Amnet Home, please e-mail us!
